LOC Approves Key Appointments For Iri Ji Mbaise 2026
The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for Iri Ji Mbaise 2026, Engr. Ben C. Nnaji, along with Committee members, has approved the appointment of Chief F. A. N. Ndubuoke, President of the Oke Ovoro Ezuo People’s Assembly, as Special Adviser to the LOC for Iri Ji Mbaise 2026.
As Special Adviser, Chief Ndubuoke will act as a strategic link between the LOC, the traditional institution, community leaders, the Oke Ovoro Ezuo People’s Assembly, and other important stakeholders. He is expected to facilitate effective collaboration, enhance stakeholder engagement, and provide essential support to ensure the successful planning and execution of the festival.
The Committee also approved the appointments of High Chief Sammy Wellman and Evang. Dr.Leo Nwaigwe as Executive Members of the LOC for Iri Ji Mbaise 2026.
Their roles include advising the Committee, helping to mobilize stakeholders and community participation across the local government area, and working closely with the LOC to ensure that Oke Ovoro, the host clan, presents itself with dignity, pride, unity, hospitality, and excellence during the celebration.
The Local Organizing Committee expressed confidence that the experience, leadership, and dedication of the appointees will significantly contribute to the successful hosting of Iri Ji Mbaise 2026, one of the leading cultural festivals in Igboland, and wishes them success as they take on this important role in service to the people of Mbaise.
