The Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Barr. Iheukwumere Henry Alaribe, has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s commitment to building a strong grassroots structure capable of delivering victories at all levels in the 2027 general elections.
During the official reception of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area’s Executive Chairman, Hon. Chika Ibekwe, who paid a working visit to the Mbata Women Alliance to meet with APC women in Aboh Mbaise, Barr. Alaribe described the visit as a display of unity, commitment, and strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots across the Owerri Zone before the 2027 elections.
In his opening speech, Barr. Alaribe called Hon. Chika Ibekwe a dedicated party leader who, despite the heavy responsibilities of serving as Ngor Okpala’s Executive Chairman, continues to champion women’s mobilization and grassroots political engagement to ensure APC’s victory in upcoming elections.
He compared the party’s current efforts to a farming season, noting that the APC is now in the “planting stage,” and expressed confidence that the efforts today will lead to a fruitful harvest in 2027.
Barr. Alaribe also praised Hon. Ibekwe for balancing governance with vigorous political mobilization across local government areas, describing her endeavors as a clear sign of commitment to APC’s growth and success.
He called on party members to stay united and pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hope Uzodimma, Prince Alex Mbata, APC’s candidate for Owerri Zone Senate, Hon. Ngozi Pat Ekeji for the House of Representatives, Hon. Ugochukwu Amuchie, Hon. Obinna Egu, the APC candidates for Ngor Okpala and Aboh Mbaise State Constituencies, and all other APC candidates running in various positions in the 2027 elections.
Barr. Alaribe also urged women to steer clear of unnecessary conflicts within the party, emphasizing that every committed member has a role regardless of political office.
“There is work for everyone in the party. You do not have to be a women leader before you can contribute meaningfully. What matters is your commitment to the progress and victory of our great party,” he stated.
Addressing the members of the Mbata Women Alliance, Hon. Chika Ibekwe expressed her honor to be among them, highlighting that women are the backbone of the party’s grassroots success.
She praised Barr. Alaribe’s inclusive leadership style, calling him a chairman who cares deeply about the welfare and empowerment of women. She also lauded Governor Hope Uzodimma’s administration for maintaining policies that continue to strengthen the APC across Imo State.
According to her, the visit highlighted the strong political connection between Aboh Mbaise and Ngor Okpala, reaffirming that the APC remains one united family.
Hon. Ibekwe stated that the goal of the women mobilization program is to create an effective grassroots network by recruiting at least 30 active women in every polling unit, totaling over 1,000 women per ward, in preparation for the 2027 elections.
The meeting ended with renewed pledges from party leaders and women stakeholders to increase grassroots mobilization, enhance party unity, and expand the APC’s support base as they prepare for the 2027 general elections.
