A 44-year-old content creator popularly known as Odogwu Asaba has reportedly appealed to the family of a 20-year-old woman for forgiveness and an out-of-court settlement following his arrest in connection with an alleged rape case that has sparked widespread reactions on social media.
The incident gained widespread attention after videos and posts circulated on X (formerly Twitter), where users shared footage allegedly showing the suspect pleading with the deceased’s parents after his arrest. The videos have since generated intense public debate and calls for justice.
According to reports circulating online, the suspect became emotional while addressing the victim’s family, saying: “I am sorry. This is a very terrible mistake. I am ready to give everything.” The statement was reportedly made as he appealed to the deceased’s parents for reconciliation and a possible settlement.The victim, a 20-year-old Favor Agbro, was alleged to have been sexually assaulted by the content creator.
