The Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will secure overwhelming victories in all elective positions during the 2027 general elections, citing the party’s growing strength and unity at the grassroots.
Barr. Alaribe made the statement during a special APC ward meeting in Ibeku Ward, where the party’s monitoring team assessed ward executives, the 27-member booth executives from the ward’s 15 polling units, and political appointees to reaffirm their commitment to the APC.
According to the Executive Chairman, the meeting was part of an ongoing party-wide monitoring and oversight effort to ensure that APC structures remain active, united, and ready for upcoming political activities. He added that party leaders in Aboh Mbaise have been moving across wards to engage members, evaluate structures, and boost grassroots support.
“I am highly impressed by the turnout and enthusiasm of party members in Ibeku Ward. What we have seen here today further convinces us that the APC remains strong, united, and deeply rooted among the people,” he said.
Barr. Alaribe also noted that reports from across the local government indicate that the APC continues to attract more supporters, with many residents aligning with the party’s vision and leadership.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the meeting, Alaribe emphasized that the gathering was not a campaign rally but a routine ward meeting aimed at assessing the readiness of party members for future campaigns.
“We are not campaigning now; we are only preparing for campaigns. The crowd you see here at an ordinary ward meeting shows that people are satisfied with the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Hope Uzodimma, and the local government administration.
Continuing, this is not a political rally but a ward meeting. With what we have seen and the indicators available to us, I am convinced that when campaigns eventually start, the people of Aboh Mbaise will come out in their numbers and vote overwhelmingly for the APC,” he stated.
Barr. Alaribe further asserted that opposition parties in Aboh Mbaise are losing relevance, claiming that the APC has become the dominant political force in nearly all communities within the local government area.
During the meeting, the host, Hon. Dumebi Nwachukwu, assured the monitoring team that Ibeku Ward is fully mobilized and committed to delivering record-breaking votes for the APC in upcoming elections.
He said the people of the ward have resolved to support APC-led administrations at the federal, state, and local levels in recognition of the developmental achievements recorded so far.
“Ibeku Ward is ready and united. We are determined to deliver the highest number of votes ever recorded for the APC in the history of our ward. Our people have resolved to support the government because they can see the positive impact of its policies and programmes,” he said.
Hon. Dumebi also praised Governor Hope Uzodimma’s Shared Prosperity Agenda, describing it as a governance philosophy that promotes inclusiveness, fairness, and shared progress. He noted that the governor continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to equitable development across communities in the state.
He urged party members to return to their communities and intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the next election cycle.
The meeting concluded with renewed commitments from party leaders and stakeholders that Ibeku Ward remains dedicated to strengthening the APC and playing a key role in the party’s success in the 2027 elections.
