Hope Uzodimma Upgrades Imo Specialist Hospital Umuguma, Targets World-Class Healthcare and Medical Tourism
Governor Hope Uzodimma has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming the Imo State Specialist Hospital, Umuguma, into a modern healthcare institution capable of delivering world-class medical services and attracting health tourists to the state.
The governor made this known while inspecting ongoing renovation and upgrade works at the hospital, where additional medical equipment, supplies, and critical installations are being provided to enhance service delivery.
According to Uzodimma, the continuous upgrade of the facility is aimed at positioning Imo State as a leading destination for quality healthcare in Nigeria while reducing the need for residents to seek advanced medical treatment outside the state.
He noted that regular inspections of the project have become necessary to ensure that the renovation works meet the highest standards and are completed in line with the administration’s vision for a modern healthcare system.
