Amaechi, Atiku, Obi Have No Business Coming Back to Vie for Votes, Should Apologise to Nigerians~ Sowore

Omoyele Sowore has criticised former and current political leaders who have served in government, arguing that those who failed Nigerians have no business returning to seek their votes.

Sowore made the remarks at the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt, where he spoke about the performance and political records of leaders who have occupied key positions in government.

He specifically referenced former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and other politicians, questioning their decision to seek another opportunity to govern the country.

According to Sowore, politicians who have previously had the opportunity to serve Nigerians should first account for their records and acknowledge their shortcomings rather than returning to ask citizens for votes.

He argued that such political figures should be apologetic to Nigerians for their past failures instead of presenting themselves for another electoral contest.

Sowore’s comments come as political activities and discussions around the 2027 general elections continue to intensify, with several prominent politicians positioning themselves for the next electoral cycle.
