Magic Movement Family Pays Courtesy Visit to Aboh Mbaise Chairman, Condoles Him Over Sister’s Death, Passes Vote of Confidence
The Magic Movement Family has paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe, to appreciate him for the successful hosting of the 2026 Iri-Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival, commend his strides in office, and condole with him over the passing of his beloved sister.
Speaking during the visit, the Convener of the Magic Movement Family Worldwide, Comr. Frank Obi Uche, otherwise known as Magic Man, said the visit was to appreciate the Chairman for his purposeful leadership and outstanding efforts in ensuring the successful celebration of the Iriji Mbaise festival.
According to him, “the manner in which Barr. Alaribe handled and coordinated the event promoted the rich cultural heritage, unity and identity of the Mbaise people while projecting Aboh Mbaise and Mbaise Nation positively.
Comr. Frank Obi Uche also commended the Chairman’s inclusive style of leadership, commitment to grassroots development, peace-building, empowerment and efforts to ensure greater participation of Aboh Mbaise sons and daughters in governance.
The group particularly applauded the appointment of over 110 sons and daughters of Aboh Mbaise as Special Assistants, describing it as a demonstration of inclusive governance. They also commended the Chairman for ensuring the emergence of democratically elected President-Generals in the autonomous communities, which, according to them, has strengthened grassroots democracy and community participation.
The visit also afforded the group the opportunity to condole with Barr. Alaribe over the death of his sister, Mrs. Chidinma Clarice Ugwujor (Nee Alaribe). They expressed heartfelt sympathy to the Alaribe and Ugwujor families, prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased, and urged the Chairman to take heart, assuring him of their prayers and support.
In a show of solidarity, the Magic Movement Family unanimously passed a Vote of Confidence on Barr. Iheukwumere Alaribe and his administration.
The motion was moved by Amb. Uchechi Ogbonna and seconded by Comr. Eric Ihekwoaba, citing the Chairman’s inclusive leadership, appointments, empowerment initiatives, support for grassroots democracy and the successful hosting of the 2026 Iri-Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival, among other achievements.
In his response , Barr. Alaribe thanked the Magic Movement Family for the visit, their solidarity and the Vote of Confidence passed on his administration. He particularly appreciated the group for identifying with him and his family during their period of mourning, describing the gesture as a demonstration of genuine love and unity.
The Chairman assured the group that his administration would remain committed to inclusive governance, grassroots development, peace and unity. He added that his government would continue to create opportunities for the people, especially youths and other sons and daughters of Aboh Mbaise, to participate in governance and contribute to the development of the Local Government Area.
He also described the successful hosting of the 2026 Iri-Ji Mbaise Cultural Festival as a collective achievement and called for the continued unity and support of all well-meaning sons and daughters of Aboh Mbaise.
Government officials present included the Vice Chairman of Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, High Chief Donatus Nnamdi Anyanwu; the Secretary to the Local Government, Barr. Charles Mbakwe; Hon. Sylvester Ugwuamaka; Hon. Ugochukwu Umunnakwe; Engr. Leo Njoku, among others.
The Magic Movement entourage included the Aboh Mbaise Coordinator and executives, led by Hon. Charles Okechukwu; Comr. Onuoha Chimezie, Coordinator for Ahiazu Mbaise LGA, alongside members of his executive; the Coordinator for Ezinihitte Mbaise; and other executives and members of the Magic Movement Family from across Mbaise.
